Last night we all went out for Tristan's cousin Liz's graduation dinner. Now that I'm married, am I allowed to say "our cousin", or do I still need to reference that it's specifically his. Cause I mean technically there's no way it can be both of ours (or we'd be in big trouble). ;)
Anyway, we went to this Indian place I found on Yelp called Milon. It got raving reviews! ...and it seriously was a true NY gem! It had thousands of hanging chili-lights so low your head gets caught in them when you stand. Not sure how the NYFD doesn't shut them down. ha! The maitre d' was so bossy to the waitstaff (and he looked like the guy from Slumdog), which was hilarious, but the staff didn't seem to mind. They were super accommodating and friendly, albeit suuuper forgetful. If you ask them something they will forget the moment they turn around because they're so busy. There's just two of them in the whole place. But it's so intimate you can get their attention in two seconds no matter where you are. Needless to say, it's suuuuper cramped in there. Not only does that make it pretty hot (especially when you consider a couple glasses of wine and the steam from the back sneaking in here and there), but to give you an idea, to get out of your table, your butt literally has to slide against the table next to you. haha. Delicious food though and really cheap! Trist and I are sold. We'll definitely be going back.
